A Few Facts and Figures.

It costs around 150 millon euro a year to run the RNLI. Which is supported entirely from Fundraising. The Charity saved 0ver 300 lifes at sea in 2008 and 333 in 2009.

Up Comming Events.

The local lifeboat day is held annually on the first Sunday in August.

December 2011
Wexford sports and classic car club held a classic car show at Slaney Manor, Barntown in July 2011. The club raised €820 at the event which it decided to donate to the RNLI, Kilmore Quay lifeboat station received €320 from the motor club. Thanks to Wexford sport and classic car club for their support.

Kilmore Quay Lifeboat would like to say THANK YOU to everybody who came along on Lifeboat Day and made it a great success. Thanks also to those who took part in the kayak race on Saturday evening and to Kilmore Quay boat club who had their annual auction on Sunday evening, to the bikers who did the run to Hook head and back. Thanks again.

Kilkenny sub-aqua club presented a cheque for seven hundred euro to the lifeboat station at the Naming ceremony. Thanks to Kilkenny Suba aqua for their support.

We would like to thank everyone who packed bags or kindly gave money towards our bag pack in Tesco over the weekend. We managed to raise 2,500.00 euro, Once again thank you very much.

Wexford Sub-aqua presented funds to Kilmore Quay lifeboat on sunday the 13th of March 2011, the clubs mascot was on hand to pass on the cheque to the crew.

A fancy dress disco was held in Hotel Saltee's on Satuarday 30th October. A scary night was had by all. Thanks to all who attended.
jet skiers persent funds Enlarge
September 2010
A group of jetskiers from Wexford including, Jimmy Hyland, MD Wexford Motorcycle Centre and Marine Services, Anthony Kuhn, propietor of harbour Thrills sight-seeing boat, Phillip Scallan, MD Celtic Linen, and Matt Grannell of Grannel Motors raised €16,000 through the Mazda Jet Ski Challenge. They cross the Irish sea from Rosslare to Fishguard in Wales on 10 jet skis to raise funds for RNLI Crew training in all five Wexford RNLI stations.

A barn dance and bbq was oraganised by the parish council in conjunction with lifeboat fundraising and was held at Fortunes farm, Ballyhealy. A big thank you to Fr Denis, the Fortune Family and all who gave their time or supported the event in any way.

The Cathy Bates Memorial raft race took place on Sunday 19th July. A big crowd turned out to watch the event. Thanks to the rafters and sponsors.

The annual RNLI Ireland awards have taken place in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin. Almost 70 volunteers and supporters being recognised for their role in raising funds and awareness for the charity that saves lives at sea. The guest of honour was television and radio presenter Pat Kenny. Pat presented Stella with her gold badge for her individual efforts within fundraising.

Local supporters, fundraisers and crew packed bags at Tesco in Wexford town on Saturday and Sunday of the May bank holiday weekend. Thanks to Tesco and their shoppers as well as everyone who gave up their time. Thanks for your support.

Steam engine enthusiast undertook a run from Kilmore Quay to the steam rally at Fenagh in County Carlow. A trip that took two days to complete with an overnight stop at ballycarney.Thank you for your support.
